President Donald Trump said Sunday he is considering supplying Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles if Russia does not end its war.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Israel, Trump said he would relay the warning directly to Russian President Vladimir Putin. He added that the move follows a request from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for additional weapons.
“Neither the president of Russia nor anyone else should underestimate our resolve,” Trump said.
Tomahawk missiles, manufactured in the United States, are capable of striking ground targets with high precision over long distances.
