ÇALDIRAN, Türkiye — Turkish border units operating along the Iranian frontier discovered 6,700 grams of narcotics during a patrol conducted by the 6th Border Brigade, the Defense Ministry said in a social media post.
The drugs were found concealed in two bags and were handed over to the Çaldıran District Gendarmerie Command for further investigation.
The ministry emphasized that reconnaissance, surveillance and patrol operations continue uninterrupted, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
