FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to working with Indonesia on rebuilding Gaza and supporting the Palestinian cause during a joint press conference with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
Erdogan praised Indonesia’s stance on the Palestinian issue and emphasized the importance of collaboration in advocating for the Palestinian cause.
The leaders also discussed initiatives to enhance cooperation in sectors such as defense, construction, healthcare, energy, and food industries.
They agreed on steps to boost bilateral trade to a target of $10 billion, emphasizing mutual benefit.
Several agreements were signed, covering culture, disaster and emergency management, and communication.
Subianto addressed the Turkish parliament earlier in the day, highlighting the “long history of solidarity” between the two nations and expressing Indonesia’s commitment to defending the Palestinian people and addressing human rights violations in Gaza.
Subianto is set to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which begins Friday in the Turkish city of Antalya.
