American forces carried out a strike Saturday night on a vessel allegedly transporting narcotics off the coast of Venezuela, President Donald Trump announced Sunday.
He added that the U.S. will now intensify efforts to combat land-based drug trafficking.
“They’re no longer getting in by sea, so now we have to start looking at land, because the ‘cartel terrorists’ will have to take that route,” Trump said.
