Winds are forecast to pick up again in Los Angeles, and are feared to worsen the city’s dire wildfire situation. However, the winds are slightly weaker than initially forecast.
The National Weather Service says Santa Ana winds will intensify Tuesday evening local time, with the strongest gusts expected starting at 3 a.m. Wednesday for at least the next 12 hours.
The wildfires have claimed at least 25 lives so far, with several people still missing.
