Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Washington for high-level talks with U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a source in Zelenskyy’s delegation.
The meeting is expected to focus in part on Ukraine’s request for access to long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles, as Kyiv continues to seek advanced weaponry to bolster its defense against Russian forces.
Zelenskyy’s visit comes shortly after Trump held an extended conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two leaders reportedly agreed to hold a U.S.-Russia summit in Budapest, though no date has been set.
The developments come amid ongoing conflict in Ukraine and shifting diplomatic dynamics between Washington, Moscow, and Kyiv.
