FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday said Iran has a “legitimate and legal” right to defend itself against Israel.
Speaking to his party members in parliament, Erdogan accused Israel of “banditry and state terrorism” and said Türkiye is working to halt “inhumane aggression” against Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran.
Erdogan said Türkiye is preparing for potential fallout from the conflict, with all national institutions “on high alert” for any regional impact.
His remarks come as tensions escalate between Israel and Iran, with both sides engaging in military strikes.
