Overnight Anti-Crime Blitz Leads to Six Arrests in Paphos and Limassol

Police carried out targeted operations overnight into Friday, arresting six people as part of an ongoing effort to prevent serious crime and maintain public order, authorities said.

In Limassol, officers detained three people found to be living illegally in the Republic and a fourth person on suspicion of illegal stay and burglary.

In Paphos, police arrested one person in a domestic‑violence case and another in connection with a traffic collision.

More than 400 vehicles were stopped and over 530 individuals were checked during the operation.

Police also inspected 28 premises, issuing three citations.

Traffic checks resulted in 114 violations.

Officers conducted 88 alcohol tests, issuing two citations, and impounded six vehicles as part of traffic‑related investigations.

Police said the operations are part of a wider, ongoing prevention plan involving increased patrols and targeted checks across all districts.
