A 26‑year‑old man in Limassol accidentally shot and injured his wife while cleaning a hunting shotgun, police said Thursday.
The incident occurred Tuesday, according to the newspaper Haravgi, which reported that the woman lost a toe as a result of the discharge. The shotgun was registered in her name.
A court ordered the man held in custody for three days as the investigation continues, the paper said.
