A total of 37 livestock units have been affected by foot‑and‑mouth disease, the Agriculture Ministry announced Tuesday following the completion of laboratory tests.
The latest cases were detected in the Dromolaxia area, within the three‑kilometer protection zone. They include one cattle unit and two sheep‑and‑goat units.
The ministry noted that the illegal cattle unit in Livadia is not included in the official count of 37 affected farms.
