Police in Limassol have arrested a 22‑year‑old woman and a 56‑year‑old man in connection with a knife assault that left a 68‑year‑old man injured.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on March 27, when officers received a report of an injured man.
Police said the victim had been sitting in his parked car when he became involved in a verbal dispute with a woman driving another vehicle.
During the confrontation, the woman’s passenger allegedly got out of the car, attacked the 68‑year‑old with a knife and struck him.
The victim was taken by ambulance to a Limassol hospital, where doctors found a laceration to the abdominal wall. He was treated and discharged.
The 22‑year‑old driver was arrested on March 28 under a court warrant.
She was charged in writing and released pending a court summons. The 56‑year‑old passenger was arrested Monday and remains in custody. He is expected to appear in court later today.
The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department is handling the case.
