The general strike initiated by the unions has caused serious disruption at the Famagusta Port.
Lorry drivers carrying cargo to the Turkish occupied areas of Cyprus have been stranded on ships that could not enter the port.
Three ships have been waiting at sea for for over 72 hours.
Those stranded say they are going through a difficult time, stating that food and basic necessities are starting to run out.
