Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned that military operations against the Kurdish PKK will resume if the group does not fully commit to disarmament. The PKK declared a unilateral ceasefire earlier in the day.
Erdogan emphasized that the government will not tolerate any delaying tactics. “We will continue our operations if necessary, and leave no stone unturned, until the last remaining terrorist is neutralized,” he stated.
Erdogan made these remarks at a gathering for families of military personnel who have lost their lives or been injured in Turkey’s more than 40-year-long fight against the PKK.
