FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE  – Yemen’s Houthi group said Wednesday it launched three attacks on the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier and its escorting warships in the northern Red Sea over the past 24 hours.

In a statement broadcast by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV, military spokesperson Yahya Sarea claimed missiles and drones were used in the operations. He said the attacks would continue unless Israel halts its military campaign in Gaza.

The U.S. Navy has not yet commented on the claims.

Meanwhile, Houthi media reported U.S. airstrikes in western Yemen on Tuesday, allegedly targeting a “water project” in Hodeidah’s Mansouria district, killing at least three people.

The escalation follows Houthi warnings against Israeli-linked ships and ongoing U.S. strikes since March 15. U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated on Monday that operations against the Houthis would persist until attacks on U.S. warships cease.

The Houthis, who control northern Yemen, have been fighting Yemen’s internationally recognized government since 2014.
