FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A warm air mass is sweeping across Cyprus, pushing temperatures above average seasonal levels and bringing occasional dust, the Meteorological Service said Wednesday.
The forecast for Thursday calls for mostly clear skies with variable light winds early in the day, shifting southwest to northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort later. The sea will be slightly rough. Daytime highs will reach 28 degrees Celsius in Paphos, and 22 degrees in the mountains.
Overnight, skies will remain clear, with northwest-to-northeast winds at 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Lows will drop to 14 degrees inland, 16 degrees on the coast, and 12 degrees in higher elevations.
Friday is expected to bring mostly clear skies, while Saturday could see increased high-altitude cloud cover.
Temperatures are set to rise steadily in the coming days, remaining above seasonal norms.
