FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – House Speaker Annita Dimitriou has said Cyprus belongs in NATO and at the core of European defense, during a speech at the Institute for Political and Democracy Studies.
Dimitriou emphasized the importance of Cyprus aligning with Greece, calling it “our most stable support and timeless ally.”
She urged Cyprus to seriously consider the prospects of NATO membership, highlighting the strategic benefits for both national security and resolving the Cyprus problem.
She also noted that with shifts in American foreign policy, it is crucial for Europeans to maintain open dialogue and seek a new consensus based on emerging developments.
