The case against a 38‑year‑old man accused of attacking a referee during a football match has been formally filed before the Larnaca District Court.

The incident occurred on 2 May 2026 during the match between Rotsidis Mammari and APOP Parekklisias at the Psevdas Community Stadium. The suspect was arrested by police and had been held under a court order.

He appeared before the Larnaca District Court, where he was charged under the law on the prevention and suppression of violence in sports venues. The court set 16 June 2026 as the date for the continuation of the hearing and ordered his release under conditions ensuring his presence at the next session.

At the same time, the court approved a police request and issued a stadium‑exclusion order against the 38‑year‑old, banning him from all sports venues until the case is concluded.
