FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The Fire Service responded to 24 incidents over the past 24 hours, according to spokesman Andreas Kettis.

One of the most serious occurred Thursday night at 10:47 p.m. in Kato Polemidia, where a fire broke out in an outdoor auxiliary kitchen attached to a residence.

Two fire trucks from Limassol stations arrived quickly at the scene.

The kitchen, made of sheet metal and adjoining the main house, sustained significant damage along with its contents. Thanks to the swift response of the occupants, the home was evacuated in time and no injuries were reported.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
