FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The Cyprus Court of Appeal has unanimously rejected the appeal of a man convicted of sexually abusing his underage granddaughter in the Famagusta District.
The complainant in all charges was the appellant’s granddaughter, born in 2009.
According to the court, the offenses for which the appellant was found guilty occurred between December 2020 and July 2021. The court emphasized the seriousness of the crimes, particularly those involving child sexual abuse and rape, noting that the prescribed penalty is life imprisonment.
In reviewing each ground of appeal, the court found none to be valid.
