The head of Swarmly Aero, a Cyprus‑based producer of unmanned air and surface vehicles, says the company’s latest drones are designed to operate even in hostile electronic‑warfare environments, according to Fileleftheros.

The paper, which toured the firm’s facilities, reported that Swarmly Aero has already donated two H‑10 Poseidon drones to the National Guard’s artillery units.

The company is now testing new UAV models under real‑world conditions to ensure they can continue functioning amid enemy electromagnetic interference.

Swarmly Aero also manufactures unmanned surface vessels.

Director Gary Rafalovsky told the paper the USVs could be used to monitor or patrol the Republic of Cyprus’ claimed Exclusive Economic Zone.

He said they can serve in deterrence or rapid‑response roles, carry operational payloads and be deployed around the island as part of a broader defense architecture. Combined UAV–USV networks could provide wide‑area surveillance and communications coverage, he added.

Rafalovsky said Cyprus now has, for the first time, an opportunity to build credible deterrence against any hostile military activity — a decision he said rests with the government.
