FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE— Fifteen special flights were scheduled Saturday from Larnaca Airport to Israel and Jordan to repatriate Israeli nationals, as hostilities continue in the Middle East and Israel’s airspace remains closed.
According to media reports, the schedule includes two flights to Tel Aviv, nine to Haifa, three to Aqaba and one to Amman. The flights received special clearance from Israeli authorities.
Meanwhile, arrivals by boat from Israel continued at the Larnaca marina Friday, transporting Israeli citizens returning home and others heading to their countries of residence.
The repatriation effort comes as U.S. President Donald Trump said it was “very difficult” for the United States to ask Israel to halt its military operations against Iran.
