FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A midday street fight involving five men prompted police response Tuesday in central Limassol.
Authorities said three Greek Cypriots and two foreign nationals clashed in the street under circumstances still under investigation.
All five were hospitalized with minor injuries.
The dispute reportedly stemmed from a prior confrontation linked to a workplace conflict between employees and their employer.
When the parties encountered one another again, the altercation escalated.
Police sources said the foreign nationals are of Arab origin and the dispute may have involved wage disagreements.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses and gathering statements.
