Cyprus Foreign Trade Statistics: December 2024

FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Total imports of goods in January 2025 were €1.117,8 million, marking a 28.9% increase from €867,0 million in January 2024.

Imports from other EU member states were €561,4 million, and from third countries €556,4 million, compared to €522,1 million and €344,9 million respectively in January 2024. Imports in January 2025 include the transfer of economic ownership of vessels valued at €70,8 million, up from €65,6 million in January 2024.

Total exports of goods in January 2025 reached €435,1 million, a 39.5% increase from €311,8 million in January 2024.

Exports to other EU member states were €79,4 million, and to third countries €355,7 million, compared to €133,2 million and €178,6 million respectively in January 2024.

Exports in January 2025 include the transfer of economic ownership of vessels valued at €11,3 million, down from €62,3 million in January 2024.

The trade deficit stood at €682,7 million in January 2025, compared to €555,2 million in January 2024.
