A weak high-pressure system is temporarily influencing weather conditions across Cyprus, bringing mostly clear skies and mild temperatures. A low-pressure front is expected to develop by Monday, potentially altering the forecast.

Friday’s weather will be predominantly sunny, though periods of locally increased cloud cover are expected. Winds will begin light and variable at 3 Beaufort, gradually shifting to southwesterly to northwesterly, remaining light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Seas will be calm to slightly choppy.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 28°C inland and along the southern and eastern coasts, 26°C on the western and northern shores, and 19°C in the higher mountain regions.

Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear with occasional cloud patches. Winds will become downslope and light at 3 Beaufort, while seas remain calm to slightly disturbed. Overnight lows will drop to around 14°C inland, 17°C along the coast, and 8°C in mountainous areas.

Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny with intermittent cloudiness. On Sunday, passing clouds may bring isolated light showers in some areas.

By Monday, high-altitude cloud cover will increase, and afternoon cloud development over mountainous terrain may result in scattered rainfall. Light dust may also be present in the atmosphere.

Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Sunday, remaining near seasonal averages. A slight rise in temperature is anticipated on Monday.
