The final act of the drama unfolds today for four of the five victims of the deadly fire last Saturday in Limassol.

At 11am, the funeral of Maria Georgiou and her three children, Angelina, Melina and Angelos-Michael, aged eight, three and two, will be held.

The funeral service will be take place at the holy church of Agios Nikolaos, in Agios Nikolaos, Limassol and held at public expense.

The body of the Egyptian father, Bassem Adeeb Gamil Takla, will be transported to his home country for burial.

The fire, which broke out in the early hours of February 15, claimed the lives of the entire family.

The blaze started between the kitchen and living room of their second-floor apartment, quickly engulfing the home and trapping the family inside. Despite the immediate response from firefighters, who arrived within minutes, the flames had already spread too rapidly.
