A coordinated operation has been carried out in the center of Nicosia, with the participation of members of the Police and officers of the Nicosia Municipality Health Services, the Labor Inspection Department and the Taxation Department.
According to a Police announcement, four people were arrested for illegal employment and another four for illegal stay on the territory in Cyprus.
Also, Health Services officers issued warnings to 5 premises, while officers of the Labor Inspection Department issued three findings for undeclared work.
Last weekend, police carried out a new large-scale operation to identify third-country nationals residing illegally in Cyprus.
During the operation on Sunday, 58 people of various nationalities were detained.
According to the police press office, police have already proceeded with the repatriation of 20 of the 58 persons, while they are pushing ahead with the procedures for the immediate repatriation of the other 38 persons.
