Energy Minister Giorgos Papanastasiou has said the government’s aim is to reduce the cost of electricity for households and businesses.
The goal, he pointed out, is for Cyprus to be in a competitive electricity market by July 2025.
According to CyBC, Papanastasiou mentioned, today marks the beginning of the trial period for the competitive electricity market, lasting 6 months, to identify and provide solutions so that by July 2025 we will be in a competitive electricity market.
