The government and officials in Larnaca have agreed on the development of the city’s Port and Marina.
In a meeting this morning at the Presidential Palace, it was decided to conclude an intergovernmental agreement with Greece for the port development study and subsequently announce a tender for investments.
Transport Minister Alexis Vafeadis stated that a decision was made to assign the Ports Authority of Greece to conduct a study for the port, marina and land area in Larnaca.
After the study is completed, it will be presented for a decision, and then bids will be announced for an investor to implement what will be provided for in the study. He expressed the estimate that the study will be ready in six months.
