FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and the Deputy Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the dance group Selas, will host the interactive walking performance “Paper Journeys” on May 17 to celebrate International Museum Day 2025.
The event, taking place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the State Gallery of Contemporary Art – Majestic in Lefkosia, will use the symbolic voyage of a paper boat to engage participants in an immersive dialogue.
The performance connects Nikos Kouroussis’ visual artwork “Surpassing” with the poem “Boat Feelings” by Kyriakos Charalambides.
At each stop along the journey, attendees will be encouraged to express themselves through movement, art, and words. The experience will conclude in the gallery’s garden with an open discussion featuring the two creators.
