Nicosia broke its minimum temperature record this morning, with the temperature dropping to -3.7 degrees Celsius at 05:57, according to the Meteorology Department’s reference station at Athalassa radio station.
This is the lowest temperature recorded since the station’s installation in 1983.
The previous record was -3.3 degrees Celsius, recorded on March 1, 1985.
