FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – It has emerged that authorities placed key information infrastructure in Cyprus on high alert last week following reports of a planned cyberattack by a Tunisian hacker group.
The group, operating under the name “Tunisian Maskers Cyber Force,” reportedly announced its intentions on the dark web, describing the attack as “strong, collective, and widespread.”
Officials believe the hackers may target religious and political institutions.
The timing and specific methods of the attack remain unclear, but cybersecurity teams are monitoring the situation closely.
