Cyprus opened the filing period for 2025 tax returns

Cyprus opened the filing period for 2025 tax returns on 19 June through the TaxisNet system.

Tax Commissioner Marios Michael said that, under a Cabinet decree, salaried employees, pensioners and self‑employed individuals must file a return if their total gross income for 2025 exceeds €19,500.

He said there are no major changes compared with last year’s form, and any adjustments do not affect the vast majority of taxpayers.

Michael added that once a return is submitted, any tax due is automatically generated by the system, which provides a link directing taxpayers to the Tax Portal to settle the amount.

The deadline for filing is 31 October 2026.

On tax refunds, he said processing of 2024 returns is under way, while the vast majority of returns up to 2023 have already been cleared.
