A 24-year-old man was arrested on Saturday evening in Cyprus as part of an ongoing investigation into offences related to the acquisition, access, and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
According to police, the arrest followed intelligence received via Europol, which led to the identification of four separate accounts on a specific online platform. The suspect is alleged to have used these accounts to send child abuse material to other users.
Authorities seized a mobile phone from the suspect, which will undergo forensic examination. A small quantity of narcotics was also found in his possession.
