Cyprus police investigate €147K cryptocurrency theft

FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A 36-year-old man reported to police that hackers gained unauthorized access to his digital wallet, stealing about €147,000 in cryptocurrency, authorities said Wednesday.

The Cybercrime Division of the Cyprus Police is investigating the case. Officials urged the public to bolster online security measures to protect personal and financial data.

The Cybercrime Investigation Branch continues its probe.
