FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – The Cyprus Police is undergoing a comprehensive upgrade and reorganization aimed at improving operational performance, Chief of Police Themistos Arnaoutis announced last night.
In a meeting with Police Directors and Commanders, Arnaoutis described the changes as “radical,” noting that they involve a cultural shift and will require time to fully implement.
In the initial phase, the focus will be on enhancing the speed and efficiency of the Police’s response, particularly in handling emergency calls to 112. Additionally, efforts will aim to strengthen responses to serious and critical incidents by involving experienced and trained officers.
The reorganization reflects a commitment to modernizing the Police force and addressing key operational challenges.
