Cyprus: Police Probe Oroklini Apartment Complex Incident; Manager Detained

FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Police are actively investigating a violent altercation at an Oroklini apartment complex that left a 27-year-old foreign man critically injured with a head wound.

Authorities are collecting evidence and taking statements to clarify the circumstances of the incident.

On Sunday, the Larnaca District Court issued an 8-day detention order for the 35-year-old manager of the complex, who is accused of orchestrating the events.

According to investigators, the clash involved foreign residents allegedly living illegally in the complex and a group of 15 individuals reportedly brought in by the manager to force their removal.

The manager faces charges including conspiracy to commit a felony, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and assault.

Police are also investigating reports of additional injuries, with checks underway at private clinics.
