FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – President Nikos Christodoulides lauded the Greek diaspora for its pivotal role in supporting Cyprus and addressing its challenges during a church service at the Holy Church of St. Basil in Houston.
Speaking to the congregation, President Christodoulides reflected on his time studying in the United States, where he developed a deep love for Cyprus and Hellenism, inspired by the Greek diaspora’s selfless dedication.
“You demonstrate daily, through your actions and life values, your boundless and unconditional love for Cyprus and Hellenism,” he said.
The President emphasized the crucial role of the Church in uniting and preserving the Greek community in the United States. He noted that the divine service within the Church safeguards the cultural and spiritual continuity of the diaspora, regardless of the passage of time.
