Temperatures reached 39 degrees Celsius (102 Fahrenheit) inland Friday as a heatwave continued across Cyprus. A slight drop is expected over the weekend.
The Meteorological Service said Saturday will be mostly clear, while isolated showers are possible Sunday and Monday afternoon, mainly in mountainous areas.
Southwesterly to northwesterly winds will range from light to strong, especially along southern coasts. Seas will become slightly rough.
Overnight lows will fall to 22 C inland and along the coast, and 18 C in higher elevations. Temperatures Saturday will remain above seasonal averages.
