A 17-year-old boy is in intensive care after being struck by a car late Thursday night in Paphos, police said.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Eratous Avenue, when a 20-year-old woman driving with two 18-year-old passengers hit the teenager as he attempted to cross the road.
The circumstances of the collision are under investigation by Paphos traffic police.
The boy was transported by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital, where doctors diagnosed multiple leg fractures and internal bleeding in the lungs and abdomen.
He remains in the hospital’s intensive care unit in serious condition.
Police confirmed the driver underwent a breathalyzer test, which showed zero alcohol levels.
Authorities are continuing their inquiry into the incident.
