Cyprus Tourism Revenue Climbs 10% in September

Tourism revenue in Cyprus rose 10.1 percent in September compared with a year earlier, reaching €499.9 million, the Statistical Service has confirmed.

For the January–September period, revenue totaled €2.97 billion, up 15.4 percent from €2.58 billion in the same period of 2024.

Average spending per visitor fell slightly to €876 in September, down 1.7 percent from €891 a year earlier. The United Kingdom remained the largest source market, accounting for 31 percent of arrivals, with tourists spending €115 per day. Israel was the second-largest market at 14 percent, with daily spending of €158, followed by Poland at 8 percent, with €103 per day.

Tourist arrivals in September reached 570,635, up from 509,463 a year earlier.

The Statistical Service said the figures are based on its monthly passenger survey and reflect revenue generated during visitors’ stays in Cyprus.
