Cyprus recorded a 4.4% unemployment rate in 2025, down from 4.9% the previous year and well below the European Union average, according to figures released Thursday by Eurostat.
Eurostat said the EU jobless rate for people aged 15–74 stood at 6% in 2025, a slight increase from 5.9% in 2024.
Spain, Finland and Greece posted the highest unemployment rates at 8.9%. The lowest were reported in the Czech Republic, Poland and Malta.
