CYPRUS WEATHER – SUNDAY 3 AUGUST – A seasonal low-pressure system is influencing weather conditions across the region, bringing intermittent cloud cover and isolated showers to northern and mountainous areas on Sunday.
Winds will range from southwest to northwest, starting light at 3 Beaufort and gradually increasing to moderate at 4 Beaufort.
Seas are expected to be slightly choppy. Temperatures will reach approximately 36°C inland, 31°C along the western and southwestern coasts, 33°C on other coastal areas, and 27°C in higher elevations.
Tonight, low clouds will develop intermittently, especially in western and northern areas.
Patchy fog is expected to form later, primarily in inland and eastern regions.
Winds will become variable and light at 3 Beaufort, with seas remaining slightly choppy. Overnight temperatures will drop to around 23°C inland and along the coasts, and 16°C in mountainous areas.
From Monday through Wednesday, conditions will remain mostly clear, though localized cloud buildup is expected during midday hours, particularly over mountainous terrain. Temperatures are forecast to gradually rise through midweek, slightly exceeding seasonal averages.
