FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE — Tuesday’s weather across Cyprus is expected to be mostly clear, with winds blowing predominantly from the southwest to northwest.
Wind speeds will begin light to moderate, ranging from 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, and will strengthen later in the day to moderate or strong levels, reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort and locally up to 6 in windward areas.
Seas will be slightly to moderately rough. Temperatures are forecast to reach 36 degrees Celsius inland, around 31 degrees along the western coast, 35 degrees on other coastal areas, and approximately 30 degrees in higher mountainous regions.
Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear. Winds will continue from the southwest to northwest, remaining light and locally moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. Sea conditions will vary: calm to slightly rough in the east, slightly rough in the south, and slightly to moderately rough elsewhere.
Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to around 21 degrees Celsius inland, 23 degrees along the coast, and 18 degrees in the mountains.
Looking ahead to Wednesday through Friday, the weather will remain predominantly clear. Temperatures will gradually rise through the week, climbing above seasonal averages by Friday.
