Early today, increased low cloud—mainly in the west—may produce an isolated shower. By midday, most areas will turn mostly clear with passing cloud, though developing clouds in the south and east are expected to bring isolated showers or a thunderstorm. Hail is possible in any storm. Winds will blow southwest to northwest, generally moderate to strong, 4–5 Beaufort, and briefly very strong, 5–6 Beaufort, along southern and eastern coasts this afternoon. Seas will be slight to moderate. Temperatures will reach about 31°C inland, 29°C on the southeast and east coasts, 25°C on the southwest, west and north coasts, and 20°C in the higher mountains.
Tonight will be mostly clear, though pockets of increased low cloud will linger. Winds will be mainly downslope and light, around 3 Beaufort. Seas in the west will remain slight, becoming calm to slight elsewhere. Temperatures will fall to around 18°C inland and on the southwest, west and north coasts, 20°C on the southeast and east coasts, and 12°C in the higher mountains.
Saturday through Monday, periods of increased cloud are expected. After midday, these clouds are likely to produce local showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains, in areas west and south of Troodos, and in parts of the interior.
Temperatures will show little change, remaining close to seasonal averages.
