Today’s forecast: After early patchy fog clears, conditions turn mostly sunny with some low cloud lingering in spots.

By midday and into the afternoon, building cloud is expected to bring isolated showers and a few thunderstorms, mainly over the mountains, inland areas and the north. Winds shift from southwest to northwest at 3–4 Beaufort, strengthening to 4–5 Beaufort in the south later. Seas remain calm to slightly choppy. Highs reach 35°C inland, 31°C on the southeast and east coasts, 30°C on other coasts and 26°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight: Periods of low cloud with areas of light fog. Winds turn northwest to northeast at 3 Beaufort. Seas calm to slightly choppy. Lows fall to 22°C inland, 23°C on the coasts and 18°C in the higher mountains.

Tuesday through Thursday: Intermittent cloud each day, with isolated midday and afternoon showers or storms over the mountains and inland.

Temperatures rise slightly through Thursday, returning to seasonal norms.
