Cyprus remains under the influence of a seasonal low-pressure system accompanied by a warm air mass, contributing to extremely high temperatures and clear skies across the region.

Daytime Conditions

Today’s weather is forecast to be predominantly clear and notably hot. Morning winds will vary regionally:

  • East, South, West: Southeast to southwest, light to moderate, ranging from 3 to 4 Beaufort.
  • North and Inland: Northwest to northeast, same intensity.

As the day progresses, winds will shift across the island to southwesterly to northwesterly directions, maintaining similar strength, occasionally reaching moderate levels.

Sea conditions:

  • West and North: Slightly rough.
  • South and East: Calm to slightly disturbed.

Temperatures will peak as follows:

  • Interior regions: 44°C
  • West coast: 32°C
  • Other coastal areas: 36°C
  • Mountain zones: 34°C

Evening and Overnight

The evening will remain mostly clear. During early morning hours, patchy fog or low cloud formations may develop, particularly in southern and eastern areas.

Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly initially, turning later to northwesterly to northeasterly, remaining light to moderate (3–4 Beaufort).

Sea conditions will gradually become calm to slightly rough.

Overnight temperatures:

  • Interior: 28°C
  • Coastal regions: 25°C
  • Mountains: 24°C

Weekend Outlook

Throughout Saturday and Sunday, the weather is expected to stay largely clear and persistently hot. No significant change in temperatures is anticipated, which will continue to exceed seasonal norms.

Monday Forecast

Weather conditions will remain largely stable and clear on Monday, with a slight decrease in temperatures. However, values will still remain above average for this time of year.
