FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – At least 25 people lost their lives in lightning strikes and hailstorms across various districts of Bihar on Thursday, according to the state government.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced a monetary relief of 400,000 Indian Rupees (approximately 4,649 U.S. dollars) for the families of the deceased.
The state has witnessed similar fatalities over the past two days.
The India Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert for 13 districts, urging residents to prepare for severe weather conditions expected in the coming days.
