Senior officers from Jordan’s Public Security Directorate met with the Cyprus police chief this week to discuss joint training initiatives funded by the European Union’s Internal Security Fund.
The meetings focused on developing collaborative programs in areas of mutual concern, including drug enforcement, human trafficking and cross-border crime. Officials emphasized efforts to dismantle illegal migrant smuggling networks.
The visit reaffirmed the close ties between Cyprus and Jordan, with both sides expressing interest in expanding cooperation through EU-backed security projects.
