FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – A 41-year-old man was involved in a car accident on Akamantos Avenue on April 9, when his vehicle veered off the road and overturned in a nearby field. Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Upon arriving at the scene, authorities noted the driver displayed signs of intoxication, possessed only a learner’s license, and was driving a vehicle declared immobilized, uninsured, and lacking a certificate of suitability.
The driver refused to undergo an alcohol test and was arrested for these violations. He was transported to Paphos General Hospital, where he is under police guard.
