Cyprus health authorities have introduced precautionary measures after cases of meningitis B were detected among students at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom.
According to Haravgi, the UK Health Security Agency reported that the infections have been spreading particularly among students living in university dormitories.
Taking into account the frequent travel of university students between Cyprus and the UK, the Cyprus Health Ministry will offer free meningitis vaccinations to students who are linked to the University of Kent — either those preparing to travel there for studies or those returning to Cyprus.
